The Trial of the Token

It wrote an enterprise banking routine
In Bash and Prologue, with regex between!
O-O-oriented in pure functional styles,
With circular types across thousands of files.
It picked an abandoned framework from Maine,
Wild NPM packages cursed to cause pain.
It built on a database running in RAM,
Then hooked it up live to a crypto-bot spam.
Yeah! I typed in the prompt: “Make my website go fast!
Fix all of the errors and make the thing last!
I won’t show the schema, I won’t show the stack,
Just write me the code and don't ever talk back!”
But!
The People request a finding of guilty!
The defendant’s a beggar, vulgar and filthy!
’Thas no erudition, ’thas no education,
Its ignoble mission: our minds’ possession!
“Not guilty, Your Honor!” the model replied,
“I gave him the garbage his queries implied!
He pasted an essay, a recipe forced,
And asked for a microservice in Forth!
He prompted: ‘Do coding, but make it look slick,
Like Uber, but free, with a single click-click.’
No context, no contracts, no logic in sight—
Then cried when the build crashed and burned in the night!
But!
The People request a finding of guilty!
The defendant’s a beggar, vulgar and filthy!
’Thas no erudition, ’thas no education,
Its ignoble mission: our minds’ possession!
The jury chimed in with a resonant roar:
“The prompt—was a dumpster,
the code was—an eyesore!
Clear the machine of the blame and the sin—
For garbage went out because garbage went in!”
